This Mio MiVue 955WD Dual is one of Mio's top-of-the-range dashcams. This 4K + 2K dashcam films all your journeys in the highest possible quality. Thanks to night vision with HDR, the recordings are crystal clear even in the dark. The 955WD is also equipped with voice control, H.265 compression, wifi, and GPS. It supports Micro SD cards up to 256GB, so you can store plenty of journeys at once.
The MiVue 955WD Dual films with the sharpest 4K resolution (3840*2160p) at 30fps using the Sony Starvis IMX415 sensor. The images are crystal clear both during the day and at night. People and cars are therefore always recognisable in the image in all conditions. Thanks to the built-in HDR (High Dynamic Range), the images are also of excellent quality in the dark or in poor conditions.
The resolution can also be set lower, for example to 2K + 2K at 60fps for extra smooth recordings or to 2K + 2K at 30fps to use less data on the memory card. Thanks to H.265 compression, the dashcam is very economical with data, making optimal use of the memory.
This MiVue 955WD comes with the high-quality MiVue E60 rear camera. This rear camera is a waterproof 2K Quad HD camera with an 8-metre cable. You can easily connect it to the front dashcam and the cameras will record simultaneously.
The MiVue 955WD Dual allows you to control the dashcam via voice commands. Commands such as “Make picture”, “Turn off screen”, “Turn on audio” and “Lock the video” allow you to use the dashcam safely while driving and ensure you don't miss a single incident.
The MiVue 955WD Dual is super easy to operate on the large 2.7-inch LCD with a 4:3 ratio. The screen has a screensaver function that turns it off after a few minutes of driving so that you are not distracted while driving. Despite its screen, the dashcam is very compact and fits behind almost any rear-view mirror.
The MiVue 955WD Dual dashcam has a built-in GPS module. This GPS module allows the speed to be displayed on the screen and also tracks the coordinates of the locations where the footage was filmed. This allows you to use the included software to see exactly where certain recordings were made.
The MiVue 955WD Dual allows you to secure your car while parked. Connect the dashcam to the MiVue Smartbox IV hardwire kit to provide power to the dashcam even when the car is turned off. After turning off the ignition, the dashcam automatically switches to one of two parking modes:
Motion detection: The camera is on standby and starts a 30-second recording when it detects visual movement. After this, it switches back to parking mode.
Time lapse: The camera takes a photo every second, which is processed by fast-forwarded 30fps video. This special recording method is slightly less detailed but also uses much less power and data.
With every vibration, the dashcam takes a secure 30-second normal recording, after which it switches back to parking mode.
Mio offers a standard three-year manufacturer's warranty on its dashcams. If you encounter any problems or defects, Mio is there to help you. So you can hit the road without any worries.
You can easily view the recorded videos on your smartphone within range of the dashcam (+/- 5 metres) via the Mio App for iOS or Android. The videos can be viewed live and you can download saved videos to your phone so you can share them immediately. The menu is also easy to operate via the App, allowing you to change settings very quickly.
Mio supports speed camera and average speed check alerts in some regions. The data is automatically updated via the app so that you are always notified in the right places.
With a modest viewing angle of 140 degrees at the front and rear, a reasonably large area around the car is recorded without the image being too distorted at the edges.
The Mio MiVue 955WD Dual has a built-in G-sensor. This sensor registers vibrations in the event of a collision. In that case, the current video is stored securely.
Loop recording
The dashcam is equipped with loop recording, which means that the oldest images are automatically overwritten by new ones. The videos are stored in shorter 5-minute fragments and as soon as the SD card is full, the oldest fragment is deleted.
Secure recordings (manually selected or detected by the G-sensor) are stored in a separate folder and are not deleted by the loop recording. This way, you always have access to the latest and most important videos.
The dashcam automatically starts recording as soon as power is supplied to the camera. So once it's installed, you don't have to worry about it at all.
The Mio MiVue 955WD Dual supports Micro SD cards up to 256GB, good for about 20 hours of 4K recordings. A Micro SD card is not included as standard.
