The AZDome S58 is AZDome's first 4G dashcam. The 4G connection allows you to connect to the dashcam anywhere in the world and receive live notifications, for example in the event of parking incidents. The convenient design of this S58 also ensures that a large part of the car and its surroundings are recorded.
The AZDome S58 4G is an advanced dashcam that keeps you connected to your vehicle anytime, anywhere. Thanks to the option of inserting an AZDome SIM card, you can connect to the dashcam worldwide via the 4G network. This allows you to view live video images, change settings remotely and receive instant notifications when something happens to your car, such as a collision or vandalism.
Please note: The 4G option only works with the optional AZDome SIM card (see accessories) and with an active data subscription selected via the AZDome App.
The built-in interior camera records an even larger area in and around the car. The interior camera clicks onto the side of the front camera and can be positioned in the right direction. It films the interior of the car and, as a result, a large part of the exterior. The extra interior camera is therefore also ideal as additional security for parking mode.
The S58 4G is equipped with the latest 8.0MP image sensor, which guarantees the sharpest videos. It films with a resolution of 2K at the front and Full HD at the front and rear. HDR technology guarantees perfect image quality in all weather conditions. The dashcam can also take photos in 18M pixels. Without the rear camera connected, it even records in 4K + Full HD.
Another unique feature of this S58 4G is the bright and large 4.0-inch LCD. The screen displays what the camera is recording, and with one push of a button, you can access the menu or take a photo. You can also start and stop recording or turn the microphone on or off. The menu interface is very user-friendly, making changing settings a breeze.
The AZDome S58 4G is equipped with wifi, allowing all images to be easily viewed via a smartphone. The wifi has a range of approximately 10 metres. The AZDome App is available for iOS (Apple) and Android phones and tablets. The app allows images to be viewed and downloaded, eliminating the need to remove the SD card from the camera.
The S58 4G has a built-in GPS module. This GPS module allows the speed to be displayed on screen and also tracks the coordinates of the locations where the footage was filmed. This allows you to use the included software to see exactly where certain recordings were made.
To improve image quality and reduce reflections in the image, you can expand the dashcam with the optional universal CPL filter (see accessories). This filter acts as a kind of Polaroid sunglasses for the lens and can be useful in sunny conditions.
The AZDome S58 4G dashboard camera has a handy automatic parking mode. The parking mode has two options:
Time lapse: The camera films continuously with Time lapse in 720p 1fps, also with the rear camera if fitted.
Vibration: The camera records a 1-minute video when a vibration is detected.
The AZDome S58 comes standard with a hardwire kit to connect to the car's fuse box. This power supply regulates the power supply to the dashcam when the car is parked. A Plug&Play OBD power supply is available as an option and can be plugged into the car's OBD port. The parking mode on the dashcam is only available when the camera is connected to one of these two power supplies.
The S58 4G is equipped with loop recording. This means that the camera continues to film even when the SD card is full. The oldest clips on the SD card are then deleted and automatically overwritten with new images. The length of the clips can be set to 3, 5 or 10 minutes. Loop recording can also be turned off, in which case the camera will make one long recording. Please note that the camera will stop filming when the SD card is full.
Thanks to HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology, the camera is able to generate sharp images in very high and very low light conditions. This allows the camera to capture razor-sharp images both during the day in bright light and at night in low light conditions.
This AZDome S58 4G has a 170˚ wide-angle lens at the front and 140˚ at the rear and inside. This allows a very large area around the car to be observed.
The AZDome S58 supports Micro SD cards up to 256GB (not included). With 256GB, you can store up to 54 hours (more than 2 days) of Full HD videos. At a higher resolution, the total recording time will be slightly shorter.
The AZDome S58 dashcam automatically starts recording when the car is started. So you don't have to worry about it when it's in the car. The only requirement is that it is connected to the car's power supply via the cigarette lighter. If you use the optional hardwire kit, the camera will automatically switch to and from parking mode.
The built-in G-sensor allows the dashcam to detect when you have had an accident. In the event of an impact, images are automatically saved so that they are not lost. They can no longer be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
The AZDome S58 4G has a built-in microphone so that sound is also recorded. The microphone can be easily switched on and off with a single tap on the screen.
The date, time and number plate can be displayed at the bottom of each video so that it can be shown later when and with which vehicle certain recordings were made. This can be of decisive importance when assessing situations and determining liability for the police and/or insurance companies.
