This AZDome PG17 Pro is AZDome's flagship mirror dashcam model. The razor-sharp videos produced by this camera are unrivalled, especially in the dark. It is equipped with the Sony Starvis 2 (IMX678) image sensor, which is known for its perfect night vision. In addition, the PG17 Pro comes complete with a GPS receiver and 128GB Micro SD card.
The Sony Starvis 2 IMX678 sensors in this AZDome PG17 Pro ensure crystal-clear images. The camera performs at the highest level, especially in the dark. Thanks to HDR, the images are of good quality even in extreme conditions.
The rear camera is connected to the front camera with a long 6-metre cable. An extension cable of 10 metres is available for longer vehicles (see accessories). This is useful if you want to use the dashcam in a motorhome or caravan, for example.
The AZDome PG17 Pro Wifi is a uniquely designed 2CH dashcam that can be placed over any rear-view mirror using the rubber brackets supplied. Its large 12-inch touchscreen LCD screen makes it a high-quality digital rear-view mirror. The rear camera is displayed completely and very clearly on the large screen, and with a single swipe on the screen, you can switch between the front and rear cameras.
With a single press of a button, the display can also be turned off or put into standby mode, displaying the time and date. In this way, the PG17 Pro Wifi functions as a normal rear-view mirror.
Because the AZDome PG17 Pro Wifi is equipped with fast 5GHz wifi, all images can be viewed quickly and easily via your smartphone. The Wifi has a range of about 10 metres. The AZDome App is available for iOS (Apple) and Android phones and tablets. The app allows you to view and download images, so you no longer need to remove the SD card from the camera.
Thanks to its handy design and rear camera, the AZDome PG17 Pro Wifi is also ideal for use as a parking aid when parking. The rear camera comes with an extra cable that can be connected to the power supply of the reversing light. When the car is put into reverse, the rear camera automatically displays a large image on the screen, together with parking aid indicators.
The PG17 Pro Wifi Full Mirror has a handy automatic Time Lapse parking mode function to secure the car when it is parked. In this Time Lapse mode, the camera takes a photo every second, which is later played back as a video. This has a distinctive character that makes it appear to be fast-forwarded.
Thanks to the Time Lapse mode, the videos do not take up too much space and can therefore be recorded for a very long time without the SD card becoming full. In combination with the optional hardwire kit (see accessories), the parking mode switches on automatically when the car's ignition is turned off and normal recording resumes when the car is started.
The included GPS module for the AZDome PG17 Pro Wifi tracks the current coordinates and also displays the speed on the screen. With the special AZDome software, the locations of recorded images can be displayed on the computer later based on these coordinates.
The AZDome PG17 Pro Wifi Full Mirror comes with a 128GB Micro SD card. This allows for approximately 12 hours of filming in Full HD. The camera supports Micro SD cards up to 256GB.
This PG17 Pro Wifi Full Mirror has a wide-angle lens of 170 degrees at the front and 150 degrees at the rear. This means that virtually everything that happens around the car is recorded.
The AZDome PG17 Pro Wifi Full Mirror dashcam automatically starts filming when the car is started and stops filming when the car is turned off. So you don't have to worry about it when it's in the car.
The built-in G-sensor detects when you have had an accident. In the event of an impact, images are automatically saved so that they are not lost. They cannot be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
In addition to filming, the PG17 Pro Wifi Full Mirror also has the option to take 12-megapixel photos. This is useful for recording damage after an accident, for example.
The AZDome PG17 Pro Wifi Full Mirror has a built-in microphone so that sound is also recorded. The microphone can also be turned off if desired.
The current time and date are always displayed on the screen so that the time at which the recordings were made can be verified later.
