The Botslab OBD Hardwire Kit USB-C is a smart plug-and-play power solution for Botslab dashcams. This adapter connects to the car’s OBD port and provides the dashcam with continuous power, even when the ignition is switched off. This allows the dashcam’s parking mode to be used without installation in the fuse box.
Please note: This OBD hardwire kit is intended for Botslab dashcams with a USB-C connection. Always check whether your dashcam supports parking mode and whether a USB-C power connection is required.
Suitable for Botslab dashcams
USB-C compatible with, among others: Botslab dashcams with USB-C power supply, such as various models from the G-series. This OBD kit has been specially developed for use with Botslab dashcams.
Built-in battery protection
The Botslab OBD Hardwire Kit features built-in voltage protection that prevents the car battery from becoming too deeply discharged. The cut-off voltage can be set to 11.8V, 12.2V or 12.6V via the switch. As soon as the battery voltage drops below the selected value, the power is automatically cut off. This ensures the car remains ready to start, even during prolonged use of parking mode.
Automatic parking mode
The OBD power supply automatically detects when the car is switched off and then switches the dashcam to parking mode. As soon as the engine is restarted, the dashcam automatically resumes normal recording. This works without complicated installation or additional manual operation.
Normal and Compatible mode
The adapter has two operating modes. In Normal mode, the kit is suitable for standard petrol cars and lorries. In Compatible mode, the adapter is designed for hybrid vehicles or vehicles where normal voltage detection does not work properly. This makes the kit more versatile for use with different vehicle types.
Simple installation
The Botslab OBD Hardwire Kit connects directly to the vehicle’s OBD port, usually located under the dashboard. This makes installation quick and easy, with no modifications required to the fuse box or existing wiring. Ideal for those who want a neat and reversible installation.
Suitable for 12V and 24V vehicles
The OBD hardwire kit supports both 12V and 24V vehicles and is therefore suitable for cars, motorhomes and lorries. This makes this power supply widely applicable for various uses.
