A mirror dashcam is currently very popular among drivers of vans and motorhomes to enable rear visibility. These are essentially digital rear-view mirrors that display the image from the rear camera in large format on the mirror, which also functions as a large LCD screen.

This type of dashcam must be placed over an existing rear-view mirror. If you do not have an existing rear-view mirror, the easiest option is to purchase a universal self-adhesive rear-view mirror and mount the dashcam on it. These mirrors are usually not very expensive. Wolfbox also has an optional dashboard holder to place the mirror on the dashboard. If you do not have a rear window, you can also place the rear camera outside.
