Are all dashcams suitable for lorries and trucks?

Not all dashcams are suitable for installation in a lorry. In most cases, this has to do with the design of the dashcam. With many dashcams, the lens protrudes significantly at the front, making installation on a vertical windscreen impossible or difficult. The dashcam often has to be angled downwards, which impairs the view of the road.

Some dashcams do not have this problem, including the Nanocam M93 Pro, AZDome M330, M770 Pro and M300S or the dashcams from BlackVue. With these models, the lens does not protrude or the holder is thick enough to compensate for this. Almost all power supplies and optional hardwire kits for dashcams are suitable for 12V and 24V vehicles. This means that connecting them in a lorry is no problem.

The above also applies to other vehicles with a vertical or straight windscreen. In many vans, motorhomes, coaches, jeeps, buses and coaches, the protruding lens can also get in the way, preventing the camera from being positioned correctly.
