A 4K dashcam is a dashcam with a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels or 2880 x 2160 pixels. The videos from 4K dashcams therefore consist of many pixels, so the image quality is often good and more details are visible. Because the image of a 4K dashcams is so large, the video clips are also a lot larger. This means that a SD card can store a lot fewer 4K videos than FullHD (1080p), for example. It is therefore often wise to choose the largest possible capacity SD card in your 4K dashcam, for example 256gb or 512gb.
